While Fury Road tore through theaters as recently as 2015, the original Mad Max hearkens back all the way to 1979. It also was made for a measly (blog post) budget of $300,000 which had more buying power in (blog post) 79, but still very distinctly categorizes this film as low budget. That's no problem though, everyone knows it's legacy and everything, so it's gotta be good, right? ...right?
